Community Action Council

Their mission is to diminish poverty, enable self-sufficiency and advocate for low-income families and individuals. Focused on enabling others to enhance the quality of their lives and to share in the promise and opportunity of our community.

Community Foundation of Howard County

Their mission is inspiring lifelong giving and connecting people, places and organizations to worthy causes across Howard County.

Leadership Howard County’s mission is to empower individuals to strengthen and transform our community.

Equal Business Opportunity Council

Howard County supports an active program of research, technical assistance, and procurement from Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs), Women Business Enterprises (WBEs) and Disabled Business Enterprises (DBEs) to help realize progressive social and economic development goals.
 

The Council helps to foster participation by MBEs, WBEs and DBEs in its procurement process through the Equal Business Opportunity (EBO) Program.

Chesapeake Shakespeare Company

The Chesapeake Shakespeare Company began in 2002 with a small group of artists committed to changing how people think about Shakespeare, by producing shows that allowed audiences to connect to classic works in whole new ways – ways that are fresh, innovative and sustainable.
